Behind Feral Toddler: Whose Idea Was It To Do This Anyway?
Hi, I’m Anya. Mom of two little feral toddlers. People often ask me if I work, and my response is always “not right now, I’m busy Momming”. But truth be told, my brain has been longing for a little activity. Something outside of just being our family’s CEO – (Chief Entertainment Officer, as my husband likes to say)…

Getting a front row seat to their feral little lives has been the joy of my life. But I’ve also found one of the greatest highs in unexpected places… The hilarious playground conversations and coffee dates with other moms who just get it.
How Did Feral Toddler Come To Be?
The idea for Feral Toddler was born shortly after a playground date with a new mom friend. She’s one of those perfect moms who just somehow has all their s*** together. We’re talking four kids, holding down a corporate job, but still makes it to church and Pilates regularly. Enter… me.
We met up in Malibu at a cute little playground in a courtyard of fancy coffee shops and organic smoothie joints. In no less than 10 minutes, my two year old had pooped in her diaper and proceeded to TAKE IT OFF BY HERSELF. In the middle of a group of tables and the unsuspecting victims trying to enjoy their lunch. What was I doing to allow this to happen? Literally just turning my back for 30 seconds to grab a cover-up. I was only trying to nurse feral #1’s baby sister, feral #2. The next 5 minutes were a poop-filled panic. As you can imagine I thought I’d never see that mom again… but thankfully, by some miracle, she still texts me back. (Shout-out to Anna J… we love you)!
In sharing this story and others, I’m hoping this page can become a source of “Ok cool, it’s not just me”. A place where we can laugh, commiserate, and just make it through another dang day!
